Today AI is still a competitive advantage, but tomorrow it will be a ’must-have’!

The subject of industrial AI is becoming relevant for us. We have never hosted as many AI experts, researchers and enterprise application specialists as guests as we did at our Industrial AI Conference @evosoft.

The Industrial AI Conference @evosoft was a truly large-scale professional event in our headquarters in Budapest, where the practical application of AI was in focus. We set aside a dedicated day for our colleagues to concentrate on absorbing the latest knowledge related to AI. We didn't shy away from the questions and doubts either: we had honest roundtable discussions in which we examined AI from several perspectives, discussing the impact on the work of developers, the knowledge and skills the software developers of the future will need and how AI will change this. AI is a technology that will be integrated into everyday life and is most likely to change the world explosively. We can't ignore it!

Our speakers included Árpád Hódi, Head of the Microsoft Customer Success Unit. He drew attention to the fact that AI will also play a huge role in innovation. Complex and vast neural networks, datasets and computing capacities are already available, as well as MS Copilot, which can be used to get customized help for development work.

We heard from experts about the speed and efficiency offered by GitHub, and how programs and apps equipped with AI facilitate the flow of information, focused work and filtering out the ‘noise’ caused by emails.

Péter Boros, an expert from the intralogistics department of Siemens in Hungary, presented the practical application of SIMATIC Robot Pick AI, developed in the world of intralogistics automation. In addition to the technology, it was also revealed what this new tool can be used for in the industry and what ideas it will be developed with in the future.

Dr Richárd Farkas, a researcher of the University of Szeged, gave a glimpse into the major language models and the inner workings of ChatGPT, which is closely related to them. We discussed with him the application possibilities and, of course, the dangers of such systems in a corporate environment.

Florian Himmler, as a speaker from evosoft GmbH, presented the impact of AI on customers' business activities.

In addition to the presentations, the participants of the Industrial AI Conference @evosoft also had an interactive session: in our self-developed AI game, you could help Captain Retro to get through an asteroid field. We also prompted AI and dedicated a separate quiz to AI Cybersecurity.

We are proud that, with the cooperation of our own colleagues, we have managed to bring to life such a professional internal event that engages many people and deals with a very current topic.

Listen to our podcast episode too about AI. Hear what we think about the topic. (The podcast is available in Hungarian.)
