University success story – This is how we do it!

How can a successful relationship between higher education and industry be established? We, at evosoft Hungary, will demonstrate an excellent example of this with our collaboration with Óbuda University.

Before delving into details, we recommend our short featuring Attila Garamvölgyi, Domain Manager, evosoft and Dr. Gábor Kertész, the deputy dean for research. They discuss the nature and the outcomes of the cooperation between the two institutions.

So, what’s the secret recipe for success? We added nothing more than:

  • 1 market-leading software development company,

  • 1 university open to market relations,

  • Hundreds of dedicated colleagues with exceptional expertise and practical knowledge,

  • A commitment to practice-oriented educational development,

  • The teaching acumen of industry players combined with the practical, market sense of university professionals and professors.

The result of all these ingredients is a complex, strategic and professional cooperation that has lasted for more than 10 years. In this collaboration:

  • We operate outsourced departments,

  • We jointly participate in strategic issues and opinion-forming in R&D,

  • evosoft colleagues teach and deliver courses at the university,

  • We provide support for TDK (Scientific Students' Association Conferences) competitions and other university events

  • We conduct state exams – at an industrial location with evosoft,

  • We involve ourselves in committees

  • We undertake consultant duties,

  • We participate in PhD and doctoral school,

  • We adopt rooms, donate machine and provide additional support.

And it has been for the past 10 years, this year we can look forward to another busy academic year at the Neumann Faculty of Informatics of Óbuda University.

We would like to express our gratitude to our colleagues and the trainer team. Their educational efforts in both evosoft subjects at the university have been commendable. They have also worked diligently as committee members for the final exams, including those assigned to evosoft. Their professional and supportive participation in both Scientific Students’ Associations Conferences (TDK) and the end-of-school event, as well as other events during the academic year, is greatly appreciated.

Now we are taking a short break and will resume our work in the autumn with an even larger circle of tutors and topics.
