István Petényi, evosoft Hungary CEO, and Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, announced the latest job-creating investment and development of evosoft Hungary, which also won the "Innovative Product Investment of the Year 2024" award.

Participants in the focused consultation that preceded the press conference - Dr. István Simicskó, President of the constituency, János Kiss, Member of Parliament, István Joó, Government Commissioner, HIPA CEO, Dr. Gyula Budai, Ministerial Commissioner, Gábor Tordai-Lejkó, Consul General - emphasized the importance of the role of the IT and software development market in the Hungarian economy and innovation development and assured each other of their mutual cooperation and support. Our common goal is for Hungary to achieve one of the most innovative economies in Europe in the shortest possible time.

evosoft Hungary ranks first among software development companies in Hungary and is a market leader in software exports to Germany. Our aim is to expand our R&D activities through award-winning development and similar future endeavours, and to maintain our market leadership position while making a significant contribution to the development of the Hungarian economy.

In his speech, István Petényi emphasized that evosoft’s software development know-how is a significant force for innovation. The innovative strength of evosoft also lies in the expertise and engineering knowledge of my colleagues, which we are trying to reinvest in the development of the future generation of engineers through education. At the same time, Mr Petényi thanked all evosoft colleagues for their fantastic performance and dedication they put into their projects every day, working tirelessly.

As part of Siemens Advanta, we've dedicated nearly 30 years to crafting world-class products that address humanity's and our world's challenges. Our focus is on developing solutions that enhance people's everyday lives. Operating across various sectors including industrial automation and drives, energy and digitalization, medical technology, electric cars, and industrial systems testing, our work reflects our commitment to innovation. Today, our dynamic growth is evident, with nearly 2000 employees across evosoft's three domestic sites.

Our development, which won the "Innovative Product Investment of the Year" award, is related to the latest generation of drive technology products. Our aim is to develop a Siemens platform that will increase the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing processes in line with the requirements of Industry 4.0. It enables virtual commissioning before the actual physical work starts. With this innovative solution, the commissioning of production units can be made more time and cost efficient and the production process more productive.

The project is worth €8.4 million and will create a total of 75 new highly skilled jobs in two locations with the support of the Hungarian state. The investment will help to recruit 57 people in two existing sites in Budapest and 18 in Miskolc, a region lagging behind the EU average.

The new award-winning investment project aims to develop third-generation power transmission devices from the Sinamics range to provide computer simulation of the devices, enabling virtual commissioning prior to installation. The project consists of two parts:

  1. 1. development and virtualisation of propulsion systems - Digital Twin.

  2. 2. development of production optimization systems - Smart Shopfloor.
