Returning from maternity leave - triumph or mental chaos?

You can read a detailed article about the evolution Summit Budapest 2024 on our blog. We thought it would be a good idea to bring the event closer to everyone. One of the best ways to do this, we believe, is by having some of our speakers to introduce themselves to you.

Our colleague's honest and open talk about one of the most difficult periods of her life was delivered to hundreds of people at the evolution Summit, where she spoke about it for the first time.

You can find the introduction of Zita Timár-Sneider detailed below:

“I'm Zita Timár-Sneider and I began my journey at evosoft (a long time ago) in 2010. During my tenure, I served as a QM for the syngo project within the O4 Department.

From the outset, I played a key role in the communication of the department, especially during its transition to Scrum methodology: the former ‘medblog’ department forum started with my articles. In 2012, I transitioned to the Marketing and Communication Department, where I believe I handled all the tasks.

I've organized various business events, ranging from small gatherings to larger affairs, such as, evoPicnics with the last one hosting 1339 people, Santa Claus parties, New Year celebrations, town hall meetings (now evoSummit), an international event on 5G technology and a Generative AI Day.

I have authored thousands of articles, technical reports and interviews, in addition to conducting numerous trainings and presentations for both colleagues and external audiences. However, there’s one thing I’ve always avoided: standing up in front of a large audience, let alone discussing weaknesses. I’ve faced my weaknesses, and it was far from pleasant. It didn't feel good at all.

I returned to evosoft after childcare benefits, and I felt unable to do all the things you read about above. Imagine feeling as strong as a lion, capable of tearing anything apart, only to suddenly find yourself feeling as small and vulnerable as a kitten, fearing of being stepped on. I felt like that.”
