evolunteers Team

The evolunteers team was founded in March 2021 by a group of enthusiastic colleagues wanting to do something for the community and others. They are the ones who help us get our CSR initiatives up and running. We have launched various collections, volunteering programmes and actions at evosoft on several occasions and in various forms with their coordination.

Christmas gifts collection

The team has organized several Christmas gift collections in recent years, each time supporting a different organization. In 2022, a collection was organised for families living in two transitional homes of the Lámpás (Lantern) Charitable Foundation and for the residents of the Jó Pásztor (Good Shepperd) Sisters' Mother's Home. The number of people in need who receive this donation is usually between 70 and 100 per occasion.

Help for refugees of the Ukrainian-Russian war

• The evolunteers team joined hands immediately after the outbreak of war in February. It has contacted several organizations already experienced in helping refugees and people in need, asking for guidance on where and how we can most effectively help. evosoft colleagues have been kept informed of the opportunities, joined various charity and solidarity programmes, and launched their initiatives.

• evosoft joined cooperation with Hungarian Siemens organizations to provide housing for Ukrainian colleagues.

• We held a direct collection for the 8 refugee families staying with one of our colleagues.

• We contributed 6 camp beds and mattresses to the Siemens fundraiser in Poland.

• On several occasions, our volunteer colleagues participated in packing food donations and clothes at the Budafok collection point of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid.

• Through the Dorottya Foundation, we collected non-perishable food, cleaning, hygiene products and utensils for refugees arriving in Hungary.

• We made 1,000 sandwiches within the evosoft "sandwich factory" programme. The sandwiches were distributed to the refugees in cooperation with the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid and the Budapest Bike Maffia.

• 10 laptops were donated for educational purposes to the Turbina School for Ukrainian refugee children and to the Kalunba Foundation, which helps refugees find work.

We supported summer camps for 300 Ukrainian children and children in need

In 2022, evosoft organized a summer IT camp for the children of our colleagues again. This time, we asked parents to donate the camp fees to the Age of Hope Child Protection Foundation. The foundation used donations from evosoft colleagues to provide summer camps for 300 Ukrainian children and children in need.

evoBuild

From 2022, evosoft's talent programme will partner with Habitat for Humanity, who work for decent housing.  Each year, our colleagues take part in a joint programme of housing renovations for a minimum of 1 week: they volunteer to do tasks such as plaster boarding, smoothing and decorating in homes that Habitat is renovating. In 2022, around 170 colleagues participated in 2 rounds of the programme.
