The impact of the AI boom on UX design
We hosted the UX Budapest meetup event on the evening of 9 February at evosoft's Budapest headquarters. The event sold out in 1-2 hours on the day it was announced.
The theme and silver thread of the full house event was the role of AI solutions in the design professions and specifically in the UX field in the current AI boom.
The event featured 3 speakers:

In her presentation Let's write a storybook in a day, Nóra Bereczki showed how she used chatGPT and Midjourney to create a storybook of 12 stories in just 8 hours. During the presentation, she sought to inspire UX designers to discover and experiment with similar tools in their workflows.

Ádám Almási presented the reasons for the extreme hype that Chat GPT has generated. What is it used for now and what can it be used for in the future? Why is this of any interest to a designer?
The last performer of the evening was ChatGPT - Robot (prompted by Ákos Csertán). Ákos has prepared the GPT using various AI solutions. “ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI. The model can answer questions and enter into natural discourse with people." (Source: chat GPT 😀) We heard GPT's "thoughts" on how AI solutions can help UX practitioners, what the challenges and opportunities are. It was really interesting, for example, how cumbersome it is to conceptualize and how it cannot phrase certain things. Or how much it stresses the importance of an ethical approach. After the performance, Ákos told us about the process of putting this demonstration together.
The presentations were followed by an informal discussion, where we discussed our thoughts with the speakers.
The feedback on the event was very positive from both the organizers and the participants, and evosoft UX CoE aims to regularly host events like this and similar ones in the future. A video of the presentations is available on the UX Budapest YouTube channel.
