We showcased the world of (engineering) wonders to both young and old
Highlights included a robot dog, a rocket petting zoo, virtual experiences, robot-building workshops, an electric Babetta moped, a complimenting robot, lab tours, and a ‘walk through the human brain.’ This year’s Researchers’ Night at evosoft was a huge success. We’ve never had so many visitors!
The last Friday evening of September has traditionally been Researchers’ Night. This year, evosoft once again joined the nationwide initiative, welcoming visitors in Budapest, Miskolc, Szeged, and even at Óbuda University.
More people than expected — nearly 2,000 — visited one of evosoft’s locations and off-site programmes. Many chose evosoft specifically for one or more programme elements or scientific activities. However, there were also those who dropped in from the street for a short visit and ended up staying.
This year’s programme lineup was truly exciting and colourful, offering something for everyone from ages 0 to 99.
We were very pleased to exhibit alongside the BME Suborbitals team. At our joint ‘rocket petting zoo’ stand, visitors could see and touch a machine built for flight up close.
Innovative students from Óbuda University joined us, and those considering further studies could ask them about the education there.
In Miskolc, we were present at the local university, and in Szeged, we welcomed visitors with open arms at our office building in the city centre.
The interest was incredible; we could hardly believe our eyes that so many young people, children, parents and grandparents are interested in technical and engineering inventions and activities.
We hope we inspired many, and that the young people who visited us will one day decide to work as engineers to make the world and humanity better and more liveable.
Here’s a little taste of our program. Which programme element did you enjoy the most?
