We wish to close the gender gap and within our strong women community to inspire and support each other

 

We support women’s equal opportunities in the labour market. We wish to achieve that more women could choose IT professions as their vocation. We are happy that more than 10 percent of evosoft staff is ladies; this figure shows an exceptionally good ratio among other companies in the IT sector.

As the engine of our programs, the Head of Automation & HMI Department, Tünde Balogh put forward an initiative, so we created the “Women in IT” community in spring 2018. It is an in-house initiative to popularize technical and IT areas in the circle of women, beyond the gates of evosoft as well.

In our fast-moving world today, many of us face situations that are difficult to experience, accept and recognize on our own. We find it hard to talk about our achievements, goals, roles at work and in private.

As a founder of the “Women in IT”, we were about to create an alliance, a bond between the attendants: we aim to strengthen, motivate and support each other in our everyday lives. We regularly meet and talk about our essential issues in confidence.

How do our sessions look?

One session consists of 3 hours. Our different topics are drawn from articles, lectures and books based on the latest research. We look at it from different perspectives and work through the issues currently affecting the community through presentations, pair, small and large group discussions. We also use questionnaires to develop a deeper understanding and self-awareness.

We also offer group coaching to support colleagues seeking help for a block in their lives so that they can leave with renewed energies, being aware of their resources and suggestions for solutions at the end of each session.

We inspire ourselves

We search for regular inspirations at various women’s events and conferences, such as TEDx Liberty Bridge Women or Forbes Women’s Summit, thus strengthening the group cohesion.
